Can you go directly from IGR airport to the Falls?
The question makes sense: if you're coming to Iguazú to see the Falls, why not go straight from the airport? The reality is that there is no regular direct transport service from IGR airport to Iguazú National Park.
IGR airport is about 20 km from Puerto Iguazú centre and roughly 18 km from the National Park entrance. Although the distances are not large, the road to the park and the road to the airport head in different directions from the city.

Recommended option: hotel first, Falls later
The most practical option, and the one most travellers use:
- IGR Airport → Hotel — Private transfer, ARS 30,000, ~25 minutes. Drop your bags, freshen up.
- Hotel → Argentine Falls → Hotel — Round-trip excursion, ARS 57,000, ~20 minutes each way. The driver takes you, waits or picks you up at the agreed time.
If you also need the return to the airport, add the round-trip airport–hotel package for ARS 57,000 instead of two separate legs.
→ Book Argentine Falls round-trip excursion

What if I want to visit the Falls on the day I arrive?
It's possible, but it depends on your flight time and the season:
- Iguazú National Park (Argentine side) generally opens from 8:00 to 18:00. Tickets can be bought at the park entrance.
- If your flight arrives before 11:00, you can drop your bags at the hotel and reach the park with enough time to cover the main trails.
- If you arrive after 14:00, time may be tight, especially for the Devil's Throat circuit.
