How to Buy Iguazu Falls Tickets: Argentine and Brazilian Sides

How to Buy Iguazu Falls Tickets

One of the most common questions from travelers visiting Iguazu is: where and how do I buy park tickets? And if I want to visit the Brazilian side too, do I buy them separately?

The short answer is yes: each park has its own ticket and its own sales system. Here we explain everything step by step so you arrive with everything sorted and make the most of every minute.

Argentine Side: Iguazú National Park

Where to Buy?

Tickets are sold on the official Iguazú Argentina website: iguazuargentina.com/planifica-tu-visita/compra-tus-entradas. It's the authorized concessionaire of the National Parks Administration. From the same website, you can buy tickets for both the Argentine and the Brazilian side.

They're also sold at the park entrance, but we recommend buying online for several reasons explained below.

Prices by Category (in Argentine pesos)

| Category | Price | |---|---| | International visitors | AR$ 60,000 | | Argentine residents | AR$ 25,000 | | Misiones province residents | AR$ 8,000 | | Students | AR$ 15,000 | Free entry: National retirees and pensioners, children under 6, people with disabilities, Malvinas veterans, and local residents.

What's Included?

The general ticket includes access to all open circuits and trails:

  • Upper Circuit — panoramic views from above the falls
  • Lower Circuit — walk at the base of the falls, closer to the water
  • Devil's Throat — the most impressive waterfall, accessible via walkway
  • Macuco Trail — a jungle hike
  • Ecological Jungle Train — internal transport between stations

Special Experiences (Separate Tickets)

Beyond the general admission, you can add unique experiences with advance booking:

Full Moon Walk:
  • Guided night tour to Devil's Throat under moonlight
  • Adults: AR$ 95,000 | Children 6-12: AR$ 47,500 | Under 5: free
  • Only 5 nights per month — spots sell out fast
Sunset at the Falls:
  • Sunset tour with regional afternoon tea included
  • Adults: AR$ 95,000 | Children 6-12: AR$ 47,500 | Under 5: free
Water Activities (Iguazú Jungle):
  • Great Adventure — 4×4 jungle ride + boat ride to the base of the falls
  • Ecological Boat Ride — rowboat, 30 minutes, ideal for families
  • Book at tickets.iguazujungle.com

Parking and Lockers

| Service | Price | |---|---| | Car parking | AR$ 12,500 | | Motorcycle parking | AR$ 6,250 | | Van parking | AR$ 18,750 | | Small locker | AR$ 13,500 | | Large locker | AR$ 21,000 |

Brazilian Side: Iguaçu National Park

The Brazilian park is operated by Urbia Cataratas and has its own ticket system at cataratasdoiguacu.com.br. However, you can also buy them through the Iguazú Argentina website to keep everything in one place.

Park Hours

  • Monday to Friday: 9:00 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Saturdays and Sundays: 8:30 AM to 4:00 PM
  • Open every day of the year

What Will You See on the Brazilian Side?

The Brazilian trail is shorter but offers the best panoramic views of the falls. It's perfect for the most iconic photos. The main walkway is 1.2 km long and ends at a viewpoint directly facing Devil's Throat.

Special Experiences on the Brazilian Side

  • Sunrise at the Falls + breakfast — for early risers
  • Sunset + special service — a tour at dusk
  • Night at the Falls + dinner — nighttime experience with fine dining
  • Bike Iguaçu — bicycle rental to explore the park

Why Buy Online?

Buying tickets in advance online has several real advantages:

1. Skip the Lines

During peak season (July, January, holidays), the ticket booth line can take 30 to 60 minutes. With an online ticket, you walk straight in by scanning the QR code.

2. Choose Your Preferred Time

Online purchases let you select your preferred time slot. Ideally, go early (park opening) to enjoy the trails with fewer people and better chances of spotting wildlife.

3. Guarantee Your Spot

The park has a daily visitor cap. On long weekends and in peak season, it can fill up and turn people away. With an online ticket, your spot is guaranteed.

4. Pay by Card

Online purchases accept credit and debit cards. At the on-site booth, sometimes only cash in Argentine pesos is accepted.

5. Buy Everything Together

From the Iguazú Argentina website, you can buy tickets for the Argentine park, the Brazilian park, and special experiences — all in one transaction.

Required Documents

  • Valid national ID or passport — required for all visitors
  • Proof of residence — to access the Argentine or Misiones resident rate
  • Retiree/pensioner ID — for free entry
  • Disability certificate — for free entry

Practical Tips

How Many Days Do I Need?

We recommend one day for each side. The Argentine side takes 4-6 hours (it has 3 long circuits). The Brazilian side is quicker, about 2-3 hours, and you can combine it with the Bird Park.

Can I Do Both Sides in One Day?

You can, but it's exhausting and you miss the full experience. If you're short on time, prioritize the Argentine side — it's more extensive.

What If It Rains?

The park stays open in the rain and the falls look even more impressive. It only closes during severe electrical storms. Your online ticket is valid for your chosen date.

Do Prices Change?

Yes, prices are updated periodically. The ones listed here are from September 2026. Always check the official website before purchasing.

Transfer to the Park: Arrive Hassle-Free

Once your tickets are sorted, all that's left is how to get there. Iguazú National Park is 18 km from downtown Puerto Iguazú, and there's no Uber or ride-hailing apps in the area.

With our private transfer, we pick you up at your hotel whenever you want, drive you straight to the park entrance, and either wait or coordinate the return trip via WhatsApp. Fixed price, air-conditioned vehicle, no bus schedules to worry about.

If you're arriving from IGR airport, we can do the route airport → hotel (drop off luggage) → park in a single trip so you don't waste any time.

Your transfer to the falls, now.
